Phytosurgence Inferno Skin Spark Blush Balm ($ 17.07 for 0.14 oz.) Is a richer, orange brown with warm undertones and a natural finish. It had an opaque color coverage with very little product, so those who prefer a sheer effect should be careful to have a very, very light hand when working with the formula. I found the consistency creamier with moderate glide which resulted in it diffusing and shimmering more easily on my skin.
The formula dried out slightly, so that it wasn’t quite as fresh as dew at the beginning and had a gentle sheen / shine – more “skin-like” than fresh. This helped him be more resistant to transmission and have better, more even wear. It took a good eight hours before it visibly faded.

Formula overview
$ 17.07 / 0.14 oz. – $ 121.93 per ounce
The formula is said to have a “slightly powdery finish” without being “sticky or greasy”, coupled with a “moussey cream” consistency. The brand advises using very little as it is an “incredibly pigmented product” intended to be “cut out” and used “on bare skin or over other base makeup”.
It is imperative to use the smallest amount; It can be even better to gently pick up the product with a dab brush and swirl once on the back of your hand to make sure there isn’t too much on the brush – the formula is SO pigmented! With my fingertips, all that was needed was a gentle tap with my index finger on the surface for each cheek; there is no need to swirl.
The consistency felt creamy, dense, but not too firm in the pot and was easy to apply and blend to bare skin or foundation. I liked to apply it with my fingertips as I felt it would add to my working hours and give me the option of having the product on one fingertip and then spreading and blending it with a clean fingertip.
The formula dries to a silky finish, not quite matte, but not dewy. It looked very “skin-like” because the product lay seamlessly on my skin, brought out the natural finish of my skin and was more transfer-resistant due to the more pronounced dehydration. I’ve preferred to work one cheek at a time because it will be harder to blend it once it has dried, but I’ve had enough work time without feeling rushed (per cheek).
I wore the sunglasses between seven and eight hours before they faded a little, but they faded evenly and didn’t shift / wander as they wore off.
One thing I noticed was that some shades seemed to have a warmer base when I made the more transparent / blended swatch, but they seemed to get less warmer when I applied it to my cheeks (see Fervor swatched vs . applied).
