6ix9ine tells DJ Akademiks that his father is a “crackhead” and he refuses to give him any money.
It’s not uncommon for Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine to be handing out hundred dollar bills to his fans around the world. Every time he travels to a different country, he spends time with his fans and often shares videos of himself giving money to children and their parents. Despite the controversy that followed, as well as his troubling comments on social media, 6ix9ine has proven to be quite generous with its wealth. However, his biological father would not agree.
The rapper’s estranged father, Daniel Hernandez (like the rapper himself) announced this week that he was living in a homeless shelter and publicly urged his son to stand up and give him some money. However, 6ix9ine does not move and explains during a chat with DJ Akademiks that he will not give money to his father, whom he accuses of drug abuse.

“Everyone knows I was abandoned in childbirth. Everyone knows my biological father abandoned me in childbirth,” 6ix9ine explained. “At the moment he’s in an animal shelter and smokes crack. The story of not giving money to a crackhead who abandoned me when giving birth gets more attention than the positive things. Why?
Hernandez was present at the trial of 6ix9ine a few years ago and asked the judge to spare him before he was released from prison. However, the rapper wasn’t grateful. “[He was] Do you want to help me for what? ”Said 6ix9ine. “So that I can be free and give him money? The narrative will always be, let’s make Tekashi 6ix9ine the worst person in the world, however [they] just look at it like this [they] want to look at it. “
